Listing Submissions
When a business registers for a listing it’s important that all the requested information and images are submitted. The review process time to consider the listing for live publication is determined by the information provided. If the requested information or images are missing the listing will not be published and will remain pending until the requirements have been accomplished.
The next step for the business owner or operator is to spend the time needed to create their listing to looks it’s best. A business must follow and complete the recommendations and requirements mentioned on the sign up form. This will ensure the quickest approval time for their business listing to be published.

Listing Pending
Why is my listing still pending? The most important steps when signing up for a business listing on City Top 10 is reading the Qualifications needed for approval as these guidelines must be met for listing consideration.
These steps are important: Read the descriptions of each listing plan. When registering include all the required information on the sign up page. The City Top 10 listing pages are designed to feature 3 good quality 640 x 480 sized business photos in the gallery. Plus 1 good quality main photo that will be shown as a featured image throughout the website and when shared as a link. We suggest using images from a businesses website or social media profiles. City Top 10 reserves the right to refuse a listing submission when poor quality images or images that are to small have been uploaded.
If any of the required information and/or images are not completed, the listing will stay as pending. Periodic reviews of the listings images and information will determine if the business listing qualifies for approval.
The listing will remain pending if the required images and information are not uploaded for review. The time limit to make the necessary edits while pending is 90 days after which, the listings information and images will be deleted. The profile and account will remain, to create a new listing and make future edits.
Image Sizing
Mentioned in the sign up page is the suggested image sizing for the best viewing experience of the listing. We care about the quality and authenticity of the listings when viewed on our directory.
We understand that resizing and renaming your images can be a task but the benefits are best represented back towards your business. A good marketing tip is to rename your images to best describe the image or include your business name as your listing photos can be displayed on the internet.
Listing Plans
The Bronze Star Listing is a full page ad-free business listing offered at a low cost to get started. Available to new business registrations that qualify. Nominated businesses that are selected will be awarded the Bronze Star listing “Free” for 1 year. All registered businesses go through a review process in order to qualify for approval and publishing.
The Bronze Star supports one single business listing. Multiple locations need to be unlocked by purchasing a premium listing plan such as the Silver or Gold.
A second listing can then be awarded a 1 year free trial Bronze Star plan.
A business can upgrade from a Bronze to an Featured Silver Star or Gold listing at any time using their dashboard-listings section.
The Silver Star Listing is a featured full page business listing equipped with search engine optimization and promotional tools. Allows for more images and also includes social media page links.
“We create your listing for you!” If you don’t have the time or do not quite understand how to arrange, edit or create your listing we can set it up for you with the Silver Star listing plan. Just add the basic information required for your business on the sign up page and we will take care of the rest.
We will source the best images and text pertaining to your business using information we find from your website and or social media pages.
There is no extra charges or fees applied for the listing creation service. This service is included with the Silver Star listing for only $60 a year.
Silver Star listing owners can login to make changes and edits to their listing. Add or delete text and images at any time.
The Gold Star Listing is our top tier listing plan offering all the features and advertising tools to promote your business. One of the best listings out there for businesses with video media.
Upload video url links for display on your listing page. Gold Star featured listings are shared on City Top 10 social media pages and are displayed on the front page and throughout the website.
Claiming a Listing
The easiest way to claim your listing or a listing is to simply sign up on the City Top 10 main page to create your account profile.
Once your profile has been created, locate your listing or the listing in which you want to claim. On the listing page located on the right side *click on the text that says Claim Now! A verification window will appear where you need to add the information requested. Your best email is very important in this step. In the verification box simply type in your business category *Example: Bakery, Hair Salon, Plumbing etc.
After this process is completed please wait for an email that will be sent to you with a link so you may place your order for the Silver or Gold Star listing plan.
Please look carefully on the order page as there are sections that need to be selected to proceed to the next step. The following page will also need to have the “Terms and Conditions Box Checked” in order to proceed.
Once purchased you will have claimed your listing and an Invoice will be sent to you. Any troubles or issues please contact us right away and we can guide you through the process.
How to Edit Your Listing
If you applied for a business listing and it’s still pending? the most common reasons are the required information was not completed or was missed. *Images! As mentioned above and throughout the website the minimum amount of images to add for listing approval are as follows. 3 business photos for the listing gallery, 1 featured photo that will be shown as your main business listing image and 1 business logo.
There are a couple of ways to edit your listing when you are logged in to your account. If you missed adding the required amount of images or text and your listing continues as pending you can still login and edit your listing following these tips below.
Login or Sign in Troubles
There are several different ways to sign in at the City Top 10 website. You can login directly using the main City Top 10 registration form or you can now sign in using social networks such as Google, Twitter and Facebook accounts. If you have troubles signing in or cannot seem to login at all please contact us and let us know.
If you have signed in on the City Top 10 main page using your social account but you have noticed the sign in icon at the top right of the screen is not showing you are logged in. Simply “Refresh” the page or select another page away from the main page or view a listing and you will notice that you are logged in and you can click on your profile picture to see your dashboard. Sometimes the site can experience slow load times and lag when signing in.
