The breakfast & lunch menu is available along with quick & healthy options including nourishing gluten free snacks & baking, and a bone broth bar. Freelancers and students are huge fans of the second floor and we love seeing the space used as a communal hub.
2. The Dutch Bakery & Diner

For more than half a century, three generations of the Schaddelee Family have been baking up mouth-watering treats. Coming from the Netherlands in 1955 with 4 sons, Kees Schaddelee Sr. his wife Mable and two oldest sons Arie T. and Jack began the delectable dynasty when they rented a coffee shop on Fort St. With a very loyal staff, some who have been with the establishment for over 30 years.
We serve breakfast and lunch, all day with a huge variety of pastries, cookies, cakes and more. Perhaps you’re in the mood for afternoon tea. We have a coffee and dessert special from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Or for a special occasion, make a reservation for high tea which includes a sandwich, cookies and pastries. Enjoy many savory Dutch specialties including our original croquettes. For lunch, try our delicious burgers, all in our old fashioned, delightful atmosphere.
3. Jam Café

Jam Café is an all-day breakfast and lunch restaurant located in Old Town Victoria. Created by Union Pacific Coffee owners Jim and Candy Walmsley, Jam offers incredible homemade fare in a rustic-city atmosphere. The unique menu tempts you to broaden your breakfast horizons with selections including Huevos Rancheros, Green Eggs and Ham, Brioche French Toast and Red Velvet Pancakes. Adding to the ‘comfort food’ theme are favorites such as house made cornbread, buttermilk biscuits, and creamy sausage gravy. Needless to say, there are options to satisfy any craving.
4. Blue Fox Café

The Blue Fox Café is a funky downtown West Coast eclectic, serving fresh homemade style food to a loyal, local clientele for over 20 years.
5. Shine Cafe

Shine Café is a family owned All day breakfast & lunch restaurant located in Victoria BC. Barry and Lauren Thomson opened the first location in March 2004, at Oak Bay junction. After many years building a dedicated following, they have recently expanded to a second downtown location. They are famous for their gourmet versions of breakfast classics- especially the Eggs Benedict. Shine Café is also dedicated to supporting local suppliers as much as possible.

6. Floyds Diner

Established in 2004, Floyd’s Diner is a Victoria, BC landmark. They attribute their growth to their loyal customers, new and old. In addition to the satisfying portions they serve, they also strive to maintain a fun and family-friendly oriented atmosphere for all to enjoy.
In 2012 they opened a 2nd location in Langford, BC. In 2019 they opened their third location in Royal Oak, BC.
7. Johns Place

For over thirty years John’s place has been making everything from scratch including their herb bread, corn bread, banana bread, homemade pies, cheesecakes and all salad dressings. When Food Network Canada was filming in November for their fall shoot they made a Southwestern Meatloaf, Mile High Apple Pie (which they are famous for), Belgian Waffles with their homemade cream cheese syrup and their best seller, Eggs Benedict with an authentic real butter hollandaise sauce and they had a blast doing it.

8. The Village Restaurant

The Village is Victoria’s premier all-day breakfast restaurant.

Bubby’s Kitchen was designed from an environmentally conscious perspective. As best as they could, they focused on creating a new space for people to gather that was without toxic finishes and that respected the restaurant and the wider community’s concerns for the environment.
This philosophy continues with the foods they source and serve at the Kitchen. All of the beef, pork and chicken they use is hormone and antibiotic free, naturally raised, even the bacon and hot dogs (which are homemade). They serve Discovery Coffee which is one of the best in the city, and they share our sustainability practices. All of their water is filtered and all of their bread, hamburger and hot dog buns use only organic flour.
